How TDEEcal earns money, and why it never changes what we say about a product or supplement.

Last updated: October 23, 2026

In short: Some links on TDEEcal.com are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission from the seller at no extra cost to you. Affiliate income never changes our content, our ratings or the drawbacks we list. We do not accept payment for positive reviews.

1. What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a special URL that tells a seller you came from TDEEcal. When you click one and make a purchase, the seller pays us a small commission as a referral fee. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you visited the seller’s website directly — the commission comes out of the seller’s margin, not from you.

2. How TDEEcal earns money

The TDEE calculator and all guides on TDEEcal.com are free to use with no subscriptions or paywalls. To cover the cost of running and improving the site, we take part in affiliate programs including networks such as ClickBank and BuyGoods, as well as programs run directly by supplement sellers.

This disclosure follows the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s endorsement guidance (16 CFR Part 255), which requires websites to clearly disclose any financial relationship with the brands they write about.

3. How affiliate links affect our reviews

They do not. Every supplement we review goes through the same research process, whether or not we earn anything from it.

1

Ingredients checked first

We look up each ingredient in published research and compare label doses to the doses used in studies.

2

Drawbacks stay in

Every review lists real cons and says clearly who should skip the product, even when we earn a commission from it.

3

Ratings are not for sale

No brand can pay for a higher rating, a better verdict or the removal of negative findings.

4. How to spot affiliate links

Pages that contain affiliate links show a short disclosure near the top of the page. Buttons and links that lead to an official product website are usually affiliate links. Behind the scenes, these links carry a rel="sponsored" attribute, which tells search engines they are paid referral links.

5. Buying through our links

When you purchase a product through a link on TDEEcal.com, you are buying from the seller, not from us. The seller handles your payment, shipping, customer service and refunds. Prices, bundle offers and refund terms can change at any time, so always confirm the final details on the official product website before you order.

6. Health and safety notice

The content on TDEEcal.com is for general information only and is not medical advice. Statements about dietary supplements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any supplement, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication or have a medical condition.

7. Frequently asked questions

Do I pay more when I buy through an affiliate link?

No. You pay the same price as on the seller’s website. The commission is paid by the seller, not added to your order.

Do affiliate commissions change your ratings?

No. Ratings are based on the research behind the ingredients, the dose, the price and the refund terms. Commissions play no part in that.

Does TDEEcal review products it does not earn money from?

Yes. We choose which supplements to review based on what our readers are searching for, not on whether an affiliate program is available.

Does this apply to the TDEE calculator?

The calculator itself has no affiliate links and is entirely free. Affiliate links only appear in our supplement reviews and health guide articles.
